Ashley Foster is passionate about psychiatry and mental health and has nearly 20 years of experience in the field caring for people through psychiatric and mental health recovery. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at California University of PA and completed her certification for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Wilkes University. Having spent many years working as Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital, she is currently practicing as an outpatient Psychiatric/Mental Health CRNP at the Nexus Group – a leading outpatient psychiatric clinic based in Pittsburgh, PA.
At the Nexus Group, Ashley Foster provides treatment services to wide ranges of psychiatric/mental health conditions for a large age ranges, from adolescents and adults. She most recently worked on acute and long term inpatient units which served adults on the autism spectrum and with people who psychosis, personality, and bipolar disorders. She has also served as Adjunct Undergrad Clinical Faculty and Preceptor of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program at University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University.
Fun Fact: I like doing crafts – especially pithy cross-stitch projects. Working in the dirt with indoor and outdoor flora. And I enjoy doing Lego projects.
