Katie has a unique mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric experience. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Katie enjoys working with patients across the lifespan and takes a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to their care.

Prior to working at The Nexus Group, Katie worked as a RN on an Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Unit for five years as well as an outpatient psychiatric clinic where she spent two years as the clinic RN helping to care for adult, child/adolescent, and geriatric patients. Her passion for mental health stems largely from her mission work overseas while completing her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. Katie’s extensive background, in school and in the field, has given The Nexus Group office a tremendous amount of support and care. Her kindness and gentle manner of speaking have allowed our patients to feel comfortable communicating with her, and we are so thankful to have her as part of our staff.

When Katie is not working or studying, she is most likely spending time with her husband, two young children, and her golden retriever.
