Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Lynette (she/her) is a dual certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She graduated with her bachelor’s in nursing from Lakeview University in Illinois in 2013. She worked for four years as a bedside nurse in critical care and 5 years in outpatient mental health before going back to school for her Master’s Degree. It was during her family practice clinicals through Duquesne University that she found her passion for mental health care. She went back to school and graduated with her certification in psychiatry in January 2023. She has been working in mental health treating adults and children with psychiatric conditions since 2020.

Lynette works with children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders. She has a passion for treating individuals in the LGBTQAI community as well as children and adults who are not neurotypical. “The greatest providers are NOT people who have never struggled, but instead are those who have been in the fire and found a way to the other side.”

Fun Fact: When not caring for patients, Lynette spends most of her time with her husband and three children, painting, or cuddling her schnoodle.
