Mental Health Physician Assistant
Michelle joined Nexus team with many years of experience as mental health physician assistant in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies Degree from Duquesne University. Michelle also received Master Psychopharmacology Certificate from the Neuroscience Education Institute and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Beck Institute. After years of working at the Neurosurgical Association of Houston and Texas Behavioral Health treating child and adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations, she developed a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based approach in her patient care.
Trained in both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, Michelle provides an individualized treatment to each patient to improve wellness across multiple domains, including work, relationships, and personal satisfaction. Michelle works with children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on treating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, dementia, and mood disorders.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys making jewelry, puzzling, daily walks with her dog and family, and watching Penguins hockey games.
