Nicole Snyder

Mental Health Physician Assistant

Bio

Nicole received her undergraduate degree in psychology from West Virginia University. From there, she moved to Connecticut where she completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Saint Joseph. During her undergraduate years, Nicole volunteered with various community outreach programs specializing in psychiatry. In addition, she completed internships in crisis intervention and spent two years working in an inpatient acute care psychiatric hospital at WVU Medicine.  

During her time in Connecticut, Nicole worked as a psychiatric physician assistant at The Root Center for Advanced Recovery where she specialized in treatment of co-occurring behavioral health disorders, as well as substance use disorders. Nicole is no stranger to the mental health field and has worked closely with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, OCD, ADHD, and mood disorders. In addition, she is also trained in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Nicole is a fantastic member to The Nexus Group team because she wants others to recognize their individual strengths and overcome personal barriers to achieve overall well-being and contentment with their mental health. 


Fun Fact

When not caring for patients, you can find Nicole travelling, hiking with her dogs, and painting.
